What is the best way for me to learn to access a FOX
data base? Step by step if possable. Mark

I will assume you mean that you want to access (link/import) FoxPro data file into Access 97.

1. In Access:
<File> select <Get External Data> then either select <Link> or <Import>

Note:
<Link> will create a two way link, such that any changes you make in Access will be written back to FoxPro.
<Import> will bring a copy of the data into Access that can be manipulated without harm to the original info.

Pros/Cons
Link
Pro: Results in a smaller file size
Con: Limited to Indexing in original data source
Import
Pro: Can manipulate in any fashion you want.
Con: You end up with two copies of the data

2. Once you have the information in Access you will have to re-create the Relationships.

3. Have fun building your new Access tool

Good Luck
