When ceating a simple database the following message appeared. 'Can't open Microsoft Jet Engine Workgroup information file (typically system.mdw) required for the task can't be found.'....WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN, PLEASE HELP!

Based on only the information you are providing you are attempting to either create or open a database using only the run time Access library which will let you start Access, but after that you are totally constrained by the rules and constraints of the designing programmer.

You may need to buy a copy of Access if you do not already have one. Or…..big Or…

Assuming you do have a real copy of Access, the problem may be easily resolved because you cannot create a new work group file. Try this, and perhaps it will work for you:

"C:\ProgramFiles\Microsoft Office\Office\1033\wrkgadm.exe"

Good luck.
