MS information Store

I was checking through resource selections in BE 9.1, and on our Echange server I back up the C, D drives, Exchange Mailboxes, Public folders, Utility and system state. Where can i select the Information store so it can be backed up?

Prob bit of an easy one!

Hi, mine is in the selection list under Microsoft Information Store. I you cant see it you may not have the rights or exchange is not showing it.

You do have the BE Exchange Agent, just to start at the very beginning?

Yes sorry, and a backup of mailboxes is occuring already.

What version of Exchange are you running. You There are two exchange agent serial number in 9.x 1) Agent for microsof exchange - this is valid for Exchange 5.5 only. 2) Agent for Microsoft Exchange 2000 - this is good for Exchange 2000/2003/5.5

To back up the mailboxes you've got most things covered above. Try hitting ADD and add it in - is it listed?

I imported the new licence for Exchange 2000. Sure enough the top of information store is now present. I added this, and ensured that flush commited logs was selected.

I am now getting a data throughput rate of less than 20Mb.- I used to get over 100.

The daily backup of exchange with 80 mailboxes now takes near 6 hours.

Nothing else has changed on the server- i.e. no new network cards, firmware upgrades, no chnages to virus scanning.

Any other ideas/suggestions?

I can rule out hardware issues as I get a 120Mb + rate when it backs up the C:\ drive. Rate only drops when backing up the mailboxes and public folders..!??
