Hello,

my Windows XP Pro machine log onto a netowrk, and my network drives are mapped using basic MS-DOS logon batch file. The drive mappings have been changed in the DOS file to point to new drive letters. The problem now is that the drives listed in "My Computer" are not the ones I should be seeing. The drives do not seem to be re-freshing or pointing to new mappings. How can I get "My computer" to see the new drives automatically? Is there something I can add to the batch file to re-fresh drive mappings? I have at least 100 PC's in the same situation!

If you have old drive mappings you could delete them first before you map a new drive.

You can use the following:

net use G: /delete
net use G: \\server\share

Substitute "G" for what ever letter you have mapped.

Hope that helps

Thanks for that. Was exactly what I was looking for. Cheers.

consider switching to vbscript. It is much more powerful.

I hope you find this post helpful.
