I have MS Win2k DNS running for internal and external.

I am looking for a way (not using ISA Server) foward ip ports from DNS, I have several mail packages that use different ports to access web mail, I can go the the mail.XXXXXXX.com:port# and it works, but this is not the solution.

Please help

Thanks
Daniel

That is correct, That is why I am looking for a program other then MS ISA server for this issue. ISA has its limit issues.

Thanks

This is not really a DNS issue is it? Most firewalls can do port forwarding.

Chris.

how would a firewall foward mail.XXXXXXX.com to a port?
I know you can foward a ip to a port

You can use zoneedit.com for this. Sign up for a free account, and then do this:

1. Assign your external IP addresss to your hostname abc.com
2. Webforward to abc.com:xxx where xxx is the port you are forwarding to.

This limits your clients to access only by they cannot access by only domain name, unless they include the port.
