Hi

I'm building a site for a client and they asked me if I could help them with this other problem.

They recieve dontated items which they, inturn, redistribute to those in need.

They have a db of clients, and want to set reminders for when they are to recontact them for more donations. My first inclination is that Outlook is the best software for this... unless anyone knows if it can be done by Access???

Thoughts anyone???

I suppose the easiest way would be to add a field to store the return date against each item then have a routine that runs each time the databse is opened that flags up any items where the return dat ais within x days of today.

You could write a macro (that calls VBA code if neceessary) which creates a list of potential reminders as dhulbert suggests and then print or email the output. You then put a call to that macro in the scheduler which you can run daily or however often the client wants. Obviously you would need Access to reside on a server or a client that would be running at the appropiate time.
