I've spent the last 7 years building a MS Access project using MS SQL Server 2000 back end. The program code is over 75 Mb with Lots and Lots of forms, reports and modules.
Now I'm being asked to convert the entire thing over to ColdFusion using the same sql database. (They want to make it into a web application.)
I'm getting the latest CF development tools but does anyone know of a conversion program that will do the bulk of the grunt work? Then I'll spend another year cleaning it up.
Since the project can all be exported to Visual Basic code I suppose that would be the first place to look.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Yow.

My ears are bleeding just thinking about this.

CF != VBA != CFScript

A conversion suite would be pure voodoo.

Happy coding!

You might just want to roll-up your sleeves and code from scracth. You never know, you may speed up some processes with CF and make other processes more automated.

I'll agree with GUJU on this one,

Trying to convert a long standing application like that would be a nightmare, and even once complete you'd just have an identical application (flaws included) that sits on the web instead of a desktop.

I would build from the ground up, re-assess the goals and objects of the project and you'll no doubt increase performance and usability massivly.
