How can I get VB6 to recognize the
MS Access 2000 .mdb file format?

ADO 2.6 (download MDAC if you do not have (search MS for MDAC in the downloads section)) and if not 2.6 then it is 2.7.

BTW have you read FAQ222-2244?

Have you downloaded the latest Service Paks for VB6?. I think it is there.
