I'm using 98SE and trying to wean myself from Netscape to Mozilla. When I attempt to get to tek-tips.com with Mozilla, all I see is the code.... not a formatted web site. So I'm using the Netscape to access and write this. After 2 weeks of using Mozilla, this is the only site that comes up that way.... is there a setting I'm overlooking? Anyone ever experienced this before? What to do.... what to do!!!?

I am viewing this with Mozilla 1.2.1, and am also writing and posting this reply... Did you, by chance, download the beta, or nightly build? May want to start out with the confirmed stable build, unless you are into bug reporting...

Wyrm, I hadn't thought of that.... I've got Version 1.2.1 - it wasn't marked as a Beta, but it still does have the "talkback bug reporting" capability. Hmm, what version are you running? Also, this seems to be sharing alot of the Netscape items. If/when I uninstall Netscape, am I going to loose any Mozilla setting/dll's/etc?

This is the version from the <Menu Bar> Help->About Mozilla page:

Mozilla 1.2.1

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130

I haven't uninstalled Netscape, simply because not all plugins will install into Mozilla, and have to be copied and pasted from the plugins directory in Netscape.
Mozilla looks so much like Netscape because it is the 4.7X version, given over to open source, and continually improved upon. I like it simply because it doesn't force install all the AOHell links all over the place, and the 4.7X series were pretty stable browsers, and a lot faster than IE.
I haven't really gotten too serious about removing Netscape, but I imagine you can copy your <hostdrive>:\ProgramFiles\Netscape\Users directory into Mozilla. I, unfortunately, haven't created a user in Mozilla, and can't seem to get the Profile Manager to work, so am unsure where to go from there...

Best of luck,

Wyrm
