Hello all,

After many hours of fighting with ARCserve2000 and dealing with their support. We have decide to move to Backup Exec V9 instead of upgrading to the latest ARCserve product.

One of the features we like about Backup Exec that it has a SharePoint agent.

I'm sure I will be dealing with a new set of headaches but from what I read Backup Exec seems to be better product that ARCserve.

I work with a lot of clients on setting up backups for them. ArcServe is not real intuitive with their GUI.

NOTE: Backup Exec 9 was just released. This fact should prompt a response in your approach to what you are about to do. Take the time to download an evaluation of the product and install it on a TEST server. That's right, a test server. Treat it like any other new software. Once you are familiar with it and have resolved potential problems in a test environment, you will be better prepared with issues that come up in a production environment. One last item, the closer your test environment is to your real environment, the better.
