Hi All,

Any input appreciated. We only have about 650 megs left on the drive we have both IS on. We are going to soon install a higher capacity drive on our Exchange Server, but to give us some breathing room in the interim, we are moving the Public IS to a different drive on the same computer.

It looks as if it's as easy as going into administrator and changing the database path. I have done this on our test server. Exchange stops the IS service, moves the IS and starts the IS service.

Has anyone else done this and is it as easy as that? Do I need to stop users from being in Exchange or anything like that? The public IS is about 600 megs, so not that huge.

Thanks much :) Tom Jacobson ...

If you run the exchange performance wizard, It will give you a list of the current path settings, it will suggest where it thinks the paths should be set too, and it will give you the chance to put in your own path to the public IS, and it will then move the IS there for you. It will stop the exchange services, so I presume that anyone that is connected to exchange will get disconnected automatically (?). But this is probably the safest way of doing it.

Adrian.
