Hi all,

I am running Outlook 2000 SP3 on Windows 2000 Pro SP4. The issue I am having is when I move a mail item from my mailbox to a PST file, it hangs Outlook and Task Manager reports it as 'Not Responding'.

I have run 'Detect and Repair' - Not fixed.
The PST file is not at maximum capacity.
Nothing reported in 'Event Viewer'.
Always used to work now suddenly does not, no new programs or harware installed...

Any suggestions..

Thanks.

Sounds strange, what happens when you recieve email, does that work without any problems?

Receiving into my inbox is fine, I can even move around mail items in the inbox, sending is also fine, only seems to hang when moving to my PST. GUess it would be worth running a scan on that...

Yes, probably worth it, maybe worth checking your permissions over the file as well, its a long shot but worth loking at.

Try creating a new pst file & see if you have the same problem.
Also, what size is the emails you are trying to transfer?

Hey I got this fixed by leaving the company... cool huh!

Thats one solution, well solved - give the man a star :)
