I'm replacing our file and print server this weekend... going from 2000 to 2003. I have to recreate all of my printers and there about 40 of them. I have a few deskjet printers that there is no 2003 driver for. Has anyone run into this problem? Will the 2000 driver still work for them?
FYI-- we run Citrix Metaframe XP feature release 3 SP 4.

I have more that one HP printer hosted on a 2003 server that use either a 2k or an XP driver and they work just fine. The only real way to know is to try it but XP and 2k3 are very similar so the drivers often just work with no probs.

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear!

use printmigrator.....it's a microsoft tool that migrates printers for you.

I'll second the XP or 2k drivers. I do that all the time for the cheap clients who still want to use some dinosaur of a printer.
