I need to move data from one exchange server in domain A to a newly built exchange box in Domain B.
There is not trust between the AD forests for either domain.
I am going to perform an exmerge on the old domain, take the PST's and put them on a file server, then move the file server over to the new Domain.
I am planning on using Exmerge to then import the mail back in. The user accounts have been recreated in the new domain as identical as possible.
My questions are as follows:
is this a good approach?
what if anything, should users be aware of that will break? for example, rules wizards will need to be reactivated, even though the rules should move over, they will all be uncheck right?
any other such issues?
