I wanted to follow up with how the problem was solved. I was not successful with the FrontRange email system, as the technician who answered the email realized that I had enterprise version, which involved SQL and said that he forwarded the question to the 'Enterprise techs' but I never had any further contact from that point. So I opened an event for $35.00 with Frontrange, but I will say that it was well worth the money spent. I had help from an excellent technician, and she walked me through the lengthy process. Turned out to be fairly complicated. Fresh install from the CD that already had Goldmine4.0.9922. Then began testing using an existing test database and got some error messages. Set a time to 'do it all'.. 3:30 I unshared the original folder and had the users log out while I backed up the entire C:\program files\goldmine directory Then backed up the SQL databases from within enterprise manager. Then went to the new drive and copied all the pertinent folders.. everything except common & GMBase, & Demo. Had already copied the License.dbf and the 3 User files and the DataDict (2) and Dict*. (5) Later sorted by type and added all .ini files for users, etc. Attached the existing MSSQL databases, which must be titled exactly the way they are titled in the BDE administrator. I made the G:\program files\goldmine directory shared, and very!! luckily, our login script, etc. used the UNC \\servername\goldmine format so that we did not have to change anything.. the users could access right away using the same shortcuts.. phew!
