It is possible to change the move selection after the tab key is pressed from left to right to down in a protected spreadsheet?

Thanks

If you are refering to Excel, you can highlight the cells in the column...then when you press the TAB key the cursor will go down (within the selection).

Yes it was for excel..

In a protected excel worksheet, the user has access to only a few cells where he can enter data. As the data is 'yearly' in colums, I would like to give the user the choice of 'tabbing' through the fields in a column way without having to select the column

Hmmmm. I just set up a protected worksheet. I created a few unprotected cells all in the same column. When I press the TAB key or the ENTER key...the cursor moves down. Your unprotected cells are all in the same column?

p.s. I'm using Excel 2002

Try to setup a few unprotected cells in a coupel fo columns.. You will see that the tab will switch columns.. then at teh end of the protected cells then switch lines...
