This is probably incredibly easy to accomplish but I've found the Cisco documentation unclear and I can't take a chance of screwing up this production Catalyst 4000 box!

Currently we have 3 VLAN's configured

VLAN 1 is for direct Internet connections
VLAN2 is for Servers
VLAN 3 is for Users

Right now ports 2/1 thru 2/9 are members of VLAN1 and ports 2/10 thru 2/34 are members of VLAN2. I simply want to move port 2/9 from VLAN1 to VLAN2 without affecting any other ports, etc. What is the best way to accompish this?

Thanks!!

set vlan 2 2/9 (This will only affect port 2/9)

thank you... that's what I found on the Cisco site but a command that implies a change to vlan 2 made me question whether it would change VLAN 2's membership to only port 9!
which sent chills down my spine! :D

No problem.
