move dc to new Machine 1

just a quick question I have dc running on older machine and wish to trasfer the DC to a new machine, without having to reastablish connections and trusts to the new dc...Is anyone able to point me in the right direction.

forgive me, I remember seeing a thread on this some time back but I think it may have been archived...

Every thing AOK....I haven removed reference to the old dc yet. just switched it off and watching the new server take over for a while.

 
In support to Pat's comments, you just have to do the following:

1. Install the new DC.
2. Transfer all the roles and network services running in the old DC to the new DC.
3. Check if the new DC has successfully taken over.
4. Demote the old DC (will become a member server after demotion).
5. Remove the old DC from the domain (if not required to be in domain).
