move custom tabs

Is there any way that you can move custom tabs? we want it appears further
to the left, like next to summary tab.
I've tried use move up/down button in edit-- preferences--record, then hit
tabs button, I didn't see those custom tabs there.

Prefix the name of the custom tab with 1 2 3 etc. and that will change the order with custom tabs, but you cant make custom tabs before standard tabs.

Wellllll..... You can, sorta. The fields tab is the place where custom screens appear -- like duplicates of the ones all the way on the right if you chose to give the the tab a "tab Name" in the custom screen properties dialog. If no tab name, (only a Screen name) no screen appears in that group to the right after the Standard tabs. And you CAN move around the Fields tab with the ROTabItems1 .ini setting. That said, you can create RecordTypes Rules and have the custom screen you created appear anywhere in the tabs list based on your "Rule based" customizations...If you are using v.6.6 or higher..
