Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am fairly new to Cisco technology but am working hard to learn!

I currently have a cisco 2610 running at my site; I need to transfer this config to a new 2800 router that will be installed soon. The 2610 has 1 ethernet and 2 serial ports (one of which is split into 2 sub-interfaces which are frame-relay connections). In the new 2800 router, we have installed 2 double-wide HWICs, giving us 4 T1 ports to use, but there are no serial ports (but 2 gigabit ethernet ports). I need to transfer the config from the serial ports on the old router to the HWIC's on the new router. I can't figure out any way to do this, can somebody point me in the right direction? I can paste a copy of my current running config if necessary.

thanks in advance!

paste the config from a serial interface to a T1 controller config? I gave it a shot, and it didn't work (as I thought it mightn't)

I need to copy the config from a serial interface to a T1 controller. any suggestions???? One of my serial interfaces has two sub-interfaces, I need to get those in there too.

thanks!

this might get you on trace

Config t
Controller T1 0/0
mode atm aim 0

Now you will be able to set up the ATM interface for frame-relay encapsulation.

config t
int atm 0/0

Remember the "?" is your friend.
Hope this helps.
