One of our clients has a 16 workstation network, all running the same machine setups and OS; all running the exact same programs, equally updated on a regular basis. The problem is ONE WS keeps locking up when a particular program is launched.

We have practically built a whole new machine to fix the error, but with no luck. It never locks up when I am there.

Recently, a second machine is experiencing the same problem. It has just started about a month ago. (When a new person was hired to replace someone that left.)

Here’s what I discovered. Both machines are the only ones using wheel mice. This is the only difference in the setups. I contacted the software tech support for the program that is locking and was told that, in fact, the software for the wheel mouse conflicts with the operation of that particular program.

Ever heard of this type of problem with any other software? The software I am referring to is TAM, (an insurance application package.)
