I just opened a table & added a ComboBox to a new blank form. I set the RowSourceType to 2-Alias, set the rowsrouce to the alias of the table I just opened & ran the form.
Using the scroll wheel worked find, but oddly only if I kept the mouse-pointer over the drop arrow. If I moved it over the dropped list, it stopped working and wouldn't work again until I closed the dropped list and click the drop arrow again.
I suggest you try what I did, create a form with just the ComboBox on it, setting the RowSourceType to 2 and opening a table. Run this and see what happens.
Mike: yea after I sent it I realized I hadn't checked msdn
:/ although I don't think the problem lies within the Service pack.. I have other apps using the same runtime files, that work fine .. although they're using list boxes rather than combo boxes.
