Within the last couple of days my mouse seems to periodiocally have a mind of it's own. It jumps all over the screen, opens windows programs - many times over, freezes and does other weird things. My OS is Windows 2000 Pro

Any suggestions?

GF

Have you:
1) tried another mouse?
2) done thorough virus scans? (Not just one, but a couple...i.e. TrendMicro, Panda, and others)

Tired of waiting for an answer? Try asking better questions. See: faq222-2244

I've run Norton anti-virus nothing and I will try Trend. I have also run Ad-aware with nothing showing. I don't think it is the mouse, but it wouldn't hurt to try another one and will do so later.

Any other suggestions?

GF

I tried a new mouse and it seems the problem is solved.

Thanks for the tip

Now go sell the "Phantom Mouse" on ebay, and be sure to let us know the link...
