Hello,

I was wondering what was the most resent version of FOXTOOLS.FLL out there? My version is 1.03.

Is there an update, if so where?

The reason I ask is becuase in the FOXTOOLS.FLL for VFP 5.0 has an additional function in the DriveType() function. In the FPW26 version both removabel drives/network drives and CD-ROMs give the same value of 4, but the VFP5 version gives a 4 for the Removable/Network drives, and a 5 for CD-ROM drives.

I would like the program that I have in FPW26 to be able to report to me what drives are CD-ROMs, so this function would be perfect.

Now as you know one can't use VFP FLLs with FPW, nor use FPW FLLs with VFP.
So I am really hoping that there is a later version of FOXTOOLS for FPW that has this updated feature for the DriveType() function.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brak,
I believe that version 1.03 is the last one released for FPW 2.6a - it's what I have. Unfortunately you can't easily call a 32-bit DLL (FLL's are just special DLLs) from FPW, so the VFP FoxTools won't do you any good.

Since this is just a shell for the GetDriveType() API (or the variant RealDriveType()), maybe you could just use RegFn() and CallFn() to use it. You may have to use Rick Strahl's CALL32() app to actually call these Win 32 API functions, or it may just "thunk" it for you. You can still get CALL32 at

Rick,

Thanks. Call32 does the trick. Its just to bad its not a FLL file.
