The Times family is, by far, most common in body text.
For san serif, the Helvetica family is most common.
At one time, the above two made up about 80% of all printed reading material.

Comic Sans, without a doubt.
Alot of the repro houses I've used seem to like changing everything to Courier so that must be quite popular.
