Yeah i got hit by a virus it was somethin weird i cant remeber i pulled it off my system but the problem is it affected the registry on my cd drive it says-Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).So can any one help me fix this all help is very much appreciated.

And it wont even pick up that i have the drive in my system from the run menu.my cd drivve is _NEC NR-7900A.The drive is reconised in my device manager.

Go to the device manager and uninstall it and reboot. This should reinstall it and hopefully fix everything.

I just tried unplugging it and rebooting i am still having the same problem i think it affected my windows registry and i dont now how to fix it.

Ok what i think its has done is move the d drive registry becuse i believe its located in another folder can some one please give me an example of were and what my d drive registry should look like.I have tried reinstalling my drive both as a master and slave and to no avail i can not seem to get this figured out.The virus was w32 werid i have it off my system. But no matter what i try i cant seem to get my drive fixed.

If it helps i have camtasia and if you have the player for it i could send a video of what my reg looks like.
