Hi All

we have a customer with an avaya IP406 release 5.0(18)

They are having problems with the monitor / intrusion feature. In short it only intermittently works.
I have checked all the can inturde / cannot be intruded settings.
Created the required monitor hunt group.
The fault remains.

In the documentation it states "This feature uses IP Office conference resources. If insufficient conference resource are available it will not be possible to use this feature."

Can youn elaborate on this? Is there a common set of guidelines? Maximum simultaneous intrusions allowed details? etc

This is the only reason why I can thing it does not work all the time?

Thanks

james

The 406 has a 64 way conference chip inside, doing a call listen/intrude will use 3 of those channels (1 for you, 1 for the agent and 1 for the external party). So you can do a max of 21 call listens at one time as long as nothing else is using the cnference chip such as call recording or conferences :)

APSS (SME)

If you connect to the system using SSA, it will show how many channels are in use under "Resources" and also will have alarms if you have been maxing it out :)

A standard IP500/500v2 has one conference bridge of 64 channels, only with the expasion card module fitted it will be extended with another 64 channels.

Intrigant are you sure that is correct. from the KB it says

For the IP500 and IP500 V2 the total conferencing capacity is 128 channels.

and in SSA mine shows 128 and i dont have an expansion card.

I can try on both :)

I have 5 ip500v2 to play with (4 in a SCN on the same location)
The ip500v1 needs 2 phones woth a lot of CA's i guess :)

Maybe you are right but in the Avaya University trainingkits for release 5 & 6 is written that the 128 conference capacity is only available with a fitted 4 port expansion card.
I never checked in the knowledgebase.

@tlpeter : het gaat beroerd, kan nog wel ff duren ook.

... they were linked in the initial beta of 6.0 but then the clever bods separated the two requirements...

Ben je al thuis?
