Does anyone know of a way to receive alerts when system capacity license are close to max or at max.
I had a company have issues with agent logging in and come to find out we were max out. Doesn’t look good on are part that we had no indication of this prior and the only way to monitor this is manually. Any suggestion?

Hardware platform?
Definity / CM software version?

Exceeding agent capacities where no agents can login is a software bug

Manual monitoring "display capacity" shows RTU usage vs what is enable in your license or customer-options.

CM 6.2
system capacity page 5 has Used, available, system limit. I thought license and RTU was the same thing? Sorry tier 2 newby here. Well we had a spike in CMS Measure ACD members and reached 0 available and after that could not login agents with a hunt group that was measured. With speaking with Avaya they increased the size in CMS i believe...to allow more available which repaired the issue.

I would like to have an alarm for this and also Logged-In ACD agent since we are getting close to that number as well.
Any suggestions?

BCMS is switch related only
CMS is switch license related as well as agent allocation for CMS

Unfortunately no alarming is available for what you are asking. You should allocate and
size hunt-groups, agents, vdns, trunk-groups, trunks in the CM as well as CMS to handle your needs.

Code:
display capacity Page 2 of 13

...Thats too bad.
So i understand correctly. Display capacity is RTU and not licenses. I didn’t know there was a difference between the two?

We would export reports from ASA into a file on a network shared drive automatically every 5 minutes. Our networking group had monitoring software that could read files and look for specific output that it could then send out email alerts when thresholds were met.

Just a thought if you have anyone in your company that could setup monitoring of the output from the "display capacity" command to a flat file.

Thank Stinney. I was able to get display capacity to send out to share drive. Do you happen to know the software they are using to send alerts from flat file? We also have monitoring department. I wanted to find the software name first... before i go to them looking like a buffoon. Thanks again.

Sorry I don't.
