This is sort of a follow up to a post from yesterday.
I have two computers both running office 2000. When the users logon in the morning, the monitor does not respond when they move the mouse, i.e. the monitor does not move from the black screen with the windows logo. I have gone into the power settings. The monitor was not set up to hibernate and I changed the setting from turn off after 20 minutes to never. Obviously this was not the problem. Other than the power supplies which Leon suggested yesterday, any other ideas. Perhaps the IRQ ports?
Thanks,
Steven

Its pretty obvious its not the monitor that has an issue with it. I would say its either your mouse or motherboard. Maybe even 2 devices on the same ide claiming to be master. Normally if you can see stuff being displayed on your monitor, whether your system is responding or not, the monitor is fine.

Thanks Philly,
I will definately check that out.

Thanks guys
I don't have any USB devices connected to any of the pcs having this problem. They should have the latest servic pack as they are set up for automatic updates. I can have the users update , can't hurt anything. Most of the patches seem to be for xp all but one of the afore mentioned pcs are 2k. I'm sure I'm just missing something in what information is being presented. Monday ya know.
Thanks,
Steven
