Monitor going crazy

Hello All
Today morning one of the user complained about the beahvior of the his monitor.
The screen is slightly shaking and aspect ratio has changed..(like some icons look elongated than the normal size)..Right now no problem to work ..but in long run it is not good
OS is Windows ME.
Is it showing signs to replace a new one or could you give me some troubleshooting tips.

Move the monitor away from electromagnetic sources(speakers, etc.).
If that does not help, then connect the monitor on another system.
If the same thing happens there, then replace the monitor.
