hello
I have win 95 system and my monitor works with that system but i bought new system with win 2000 but the monitor doesnt work after kernel mode. I tried with vga mode and it works. i tried in win win 98 and gives same problem. one of my friend have same problem with monitor.

It sounds like your monitor is an older VGA type and is not able to display the higher resolutions that W2K and 98SE set automaticly, you will need to downgrade your display settings to allow this monitor to handle the VGA signal. set to 800 X 600 at 256 colours to start with (right click/properties and settings)
If this is not the problem please post with more info.

I tried downgrading to 800X600 and 256 colours but it didnt worked

The standard, universal vga mode is 640x480 in 16 colors. If your monitor does not do that, replace it.
If it works, try upping the colors to 256, then 16bit, then 32bit.
Once you have determined what color limit you have, you can try upping the resolution of the screen - carefully.
