I have a Gateway PC that runs WIndows 95. We are using it to program one of our factory machines and need to use the dos prompt alot. Whenever we go to dow on this machine, the monitor starts blinking. At first it is about every 5 minutes or so but then, it speeds up the longer you are on the machine. What can cause this and why only in Dos? How do I fix it?

Thanks

A driver conflict may be possible, or absence of a recognizable dos driver. Try re-installing the video card with more updated drivers. Either that, or possibly an over-heating of the video card's RAM, maybe? A new Video card may be in order. Write back and let me know how it goes.
