MOH on 4.2

Multiple MOH is nice, but it appears they forgot outbound calling. No way to set specific MOH to trunkgroups lines or users for outbound purposes. Please someone tell me I'm wrong.

Sinds when do some one want music on hold on an outbound call ?

What will happen when you call some one with music on hold, do you get two music on hold or just yours ?

This sounds like getting a big raise and work half time

You have never made an outbound call and had to put it on hold?

best option for this is to have generic musing as MOH 1 for og calls & the custome music for inboud calls (with Branding) as MOH 2-4

What he is getting at is if you have say 3 Companies on the system each with their own MOH source advertising their own stuff etc, and they put someone they have called on hold it would be nice if you got your own hold music not the first source in the system...I think it's a valid point that I never thought of but could cause issues.

Yes that could be a problem, but on the other hand the IPO isn't designed to be a multi company system.

But you can have 3 different for the companies and then one general when you put people on hold.

in that case don't put them on hold transfer them to a huntgroup for yourself then pick it up again and you then put them on hold with the music source you want it to have.
Really not nice but might actually work

i like it... Please mr xzy hold on i am going to transfer you and then put you on hold. I guess it would work but i would hate to be the one to tell the customer thats how they would have to do it. :-D

Solution: put music on the MoH instead so the name matches the purpose

You know MoH = MUSIC on hold. Not advertising on hold, company jargon on hold, personal message of the day on hold, etc.

If you use MoH source 1 as your "music" and not your advertising then does it really matter what company you are making the outbound call?

Who says MOH has to equal Music on Hold? It could mean Message on Hold. Avaya used to call it Magic on hold. Bottom line is, its not as saleable as it was first presented. It is a GREAT FEATURE, I just want to make sure I wasn't missing something.

you didn't miss it and you actually raised a valid point, maybe bring it to Avaya's attention as a feature request, sound fairly simple to implement ( I hope I don't tick off the developers with that) as they already have the multiple sources in it.
