I know that you can have different MOH audio sources with the CM4.01 and S8700 servers, however, can MOH be played using a .wav file or any other downloadable file to the servers? If so, how is that done? I will be using a different moh-audio source for a VDN. Currently our MOH for all other VDNs is set up using an aux port attached to Magic on Hold Tape device.

FTP the wav file to a VAL board on the system as if its going to be announcement. Type in "cha mus" in ASA and music type will be the ext number of the announcement. Hope this helps.

There are two things you need to set up, first multiple music on hold sources. Here you can follow Adriann30 recommendation as this is done on the "change music-sources" screen. On this screen you can set up a Val board extension or another analogue extension connected to a MOH source. In my setup I am using cd player, tape player, pc playing mp3 file and a interalia xmu with multiple ports. As you can see there are several options, I even had my ipod connected once to play around. Note that you need a 600 ohms converter to connect this to an analogue board.

Once you have your different music-sources you need to create tenants, and on each tenant you setup a different music on hold source. Do a display tenant 1 to see your current settings.

So you have your music-sources, then your tenant and finally you have to set-up your VDN with the correct tenant to match the music you want. Be careful with the "Allow VDN Override" parameter on the VDN and do some test.

Hope it helps.
