We have installed NLM on Windows server, also NW Client for Windows is installed.
We checked carefully all details about NW Client configuring, including environment variables etc.

NW Client (NW User) successfully connected with NW Server, but NW Module (NW Module User) for Lotus didn’t connect to NW Server.
The error was “You are not a client of any NetWorker Server”.

I started Lotus backup command nsrnotesv from client with adequate flags and the backup finished successfully.
Backup of the file system finished OK also.

Does anyone have some idea what’s wrong with the configuration??

Did you check whether the reverse DNS lookup is correct?

well, backup of the file system woorks correctly, so I suppose that DNS lookup is OK.

Not necessarily. You have to keep in mind whether you establish a connection from the client to the server or
from the server to the client. This is not the same.

i do agree with you.
i am right now on the customer site and trying to do some tests.
i am issuing commands from client side as follows with results respectively:
("chelsea" is nw server and "domino" is lotus client)

winworkr -s chelsea
output: gui for nw user that sucessfully connected to server chelsea

nwbml -s chelsea
output: gui for nml starts and tries to connect to server chelsea, but unsuccesfully.
the error is: "unable to connect to server chelsea. do you want to connect to another server?".
answer "no" closes nlm gui.
answer "yes" forces searching of other nw servers that results with message "you are not a client of any networker server" and closes nlm gui

and finally and very interesting:

nsrnotesv -c domino -g Domino -P 20 -s chelsea -R
output: makes the backup of the whole lotus database sucessfully. i can see the progress on the nw server chelsea, as well as client and media indexes in volume and client index information !!???

whats going on???

Hard to say. It looks like there is a discrepancy in the client names for the client. This is wha it responds with the message "you are not a client of any networker server".
- Use nslookup to verify that the name resolution is the same in all cases
- Check whether there are more than 1 domino directories in ..\nsr\index
If yes, the name resolution is not unique. Correct it.
- Make sure that the "Alias" list for the client contains both, the short and the FQDN name

For others: solution of problem has been found!
It is Windows issue regarding remote commands: NW Server sends remote command to NW Client. On the NW Client (Lotus Client) adequate path must be defined. Even path environment variable is OK, remote command doesn’t recognize it. Server (Lotus Client) should be restarted to remote command can recognize new environment! After rebooting of Lotus Client everything is OK.
