Modifying pictures

I had to save my photoshop images to import to FLASH, but flash has nothing like the magic wand tool so the pictures edges are overlapping the underneath things and it looks like garbage. Do you know how to clean this up? Thanks.

I did use fireworks to convert the photoshop file, but all my nice glow effects and the way the bevels looked, plus a bunch of the other effects are all gone. It looks like garbage. Any ideas on how to make it look like it did in photoshop? Thanks again.
