Modifying picture dialogue box

On the picture tab in the modify picture dialogue box, the Picture dialogue on the right hand side where the colour can be changed is greyed out. Why is this and how do I get access to changing the colour? The image is brought into Quark 5 by Get Picture from a photo CD.

Is it anything to do with embedded paths?

I'd be grateful for any assistance. Thanks

I think quark will only change color of an image in greyscale tif format, so you probably need to open the pcd image in photoshop first and resave.
