We have had a problem with slow logon to our domain on some systems and have found that if we change the users profile path to use DNS instead of WINS the problem goes away. We would like to modify the users profile path to use the DNS name for all the users but don't know how to do it through scripting. Has anyone done anything similar to this change and if so, could you point me in the right direction?

Hang on, you're talking about RESOLVING the location of your user's profiles folder right? You want to change this into an FQDN to force DNS lookups?

Yes, currently we have the WINS address for the profile and some systems hang at "loading personal settings" for up to 30 minutes. If we change the path to the FQDN we don't have the problem.
