Good morning, we have a backup machine running that was loaded as a dual boot Windows 2000 server/ XP Professional. Does anyone know if it is possible to modify the static IP address on the W2K Server from the registry editor on the XP partition.

Reason I ask the addressed used on the W2k partition when it was built is now an active server on the network and booting this machine into that partition would cause an IP conflict This is being done remotely so not able to physically disconnect it from the network

Thoughts..??

Can't you just disconnect this dual boot server from the network, and have it boot on the Win2k. Then change the IP address while not connected in the network?
