I have an excel spreadsheet with a single column of information:
[tt]
A
001 01
001 03
001 05
001 07[/tt]

I'd like to run a process that splits that information into two columns.

[tt]
A B
001 01
001 03
001 05
001 07[/tt]

every item in the collection has the 3 digit space 2 digit format.

I've tried searching the forum and FAQ, but not having any luck with the correct key words.

All assistance appreciated!

Text to columns under the data menu option with a space delimiter.

[Blue]Blue[/Blue] [Dragon]

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...

No macro needed.

Select Column A. Go to Data > Text to Columns. Choose Delimited and select Space as your delimiter.

That's it.

If you need a macro to do this, then just just record the previous process.

Hi,

Check out Data > Text to columns... Use TEXT for the both columns.

man, that's why I love this site! I go to the bathroom and come back to add a little more information I thought should be included and voilà I have three answers!

I'll give that a shot right now!

Have a leek in your potatoe soup! It enhances the flavor!
