I am using the MM_checkPlugin function from Dreamweaver in a page to detect the Flash plugin. On a PC, if you don't have the plugin, you are asked if you'd like to download it. If you don't have the plugin and don't download it, the page redirects to a non-Flash version of the page. This works great on a PC. On one Mac (#1) with the flash plugin I tested it and it views the flash fine. On another Mac (#2), that also has the Flash plugin, it redirects me to the Non-Flash page. On this Mac#2, if I take out the checkPlugin function, it views the Flash fine.

Any ideas what's going on? Could this be an incompatibility with older versions of Mac IE? Thanks for any help.

Nevermind, just found the problem. IE 4.5 for Mac pretty much is bad at everything apparently. Mac IE 4.5 has no "plugins" objects, so you'll never find any plugin in any sort of javascript plug-in detection in this browser version.

Thanks for reading anyway.
