Analog lines are -48 VDC. When testing you will see a typical voltage of around 42-45 VDC. Ring voltage is around 100 VAC. Everything depends on cable distance and quality so further away the voltages will drop a little.
Depending what will be on the other end will determine if you have enough voltage. When trying to use an Avaya Universal Paging adapter you will need to install a Viking ring generator in between so that it will get the 48 volts required to trip it. I went thru this problem last year.
