Hi

I have a recently had delievered an ML110 server with 4 SATA disks.I've installed all the disks and created an Array but set it to just Volume as I don't want any Raid Levels setting on these disks. I've booted up off my Win2k Server CD, but Windows can't see the disks even though the array is recognised and I have lights on my disks. What am I not doing?

Hope someone can help

Regards

Have you loaded the appropriate driver when performing your installation (Pressing F6 during device scan)? If you did, it is quite possible that not all drives will be seen during the text based installation of Win2K.

Hi itsp1965!

I did try F6 during setup but it seemed to carry on. IF I do "break" into it, do I use the HP Proliant ML110G2 Server support CD, supplied with the box?? This includes Drivers. I know Smartstart is no good for these ML110 which is a pity.

It's not uncommon to miss it especially when the install is going fast. Try it again at the beginning of the text based install. As for the drivers, if they are part of the server support CD then use it, otherwise download the drivers from the support site to a floppy (yeah eeeuuuh -- but it works)

I think the problem may be a bit more deep rooted as I've unplugged the SATA disks from the RAID controller and plugged them into the main system board. The disks can be seen now but Windows Setup brings up an error with the following code (0x4 0x1, 0, 0)! I may have to go back to the suppplier with this one.

Thanks for the replies.
