We have a problem with IP Phones in a mixed dial plan.
We have 4 and 5 digit extensions and when calling back from the logs the ARS code is being placed in front of the 5 digit number. If we change the 46xxsettings.txt to 5 the ars code is being placed in front of the 4 digit number.
Does anyone has a solution for this?

Thanks

Short of changing everyone to 5-digits, you can use the change calltype analysis location 1 table...

If you're using locations, you'll have to define the location number like the example above. If no locations are being used, then just type change calltype analysis

Define your 4-digit range (if it begins with 3, use 3xxx as a wildcard), then make the calltype ext

Hope this helps to get you started.

Thanks,

Why can't you just load a specific 46xxsettings file for each digit length type phone?

For the 9600 we can set the lenght to 5, but for the 4600 we have problems with 4 digits if setting to 5.
The calltype is not working. I don't think this will work in Europe
There is no way to set every digit in the 46xxsettings file.

To Nick44's point - if the calltype doesn't work (which is odd, because this is an application it was designed for), then apply 'Groups' in the 46xxsettings file... Then apply that group to the phones accordingly.

Sorry, that's not what I meant.
Create two 46xxsettings files, one that specifys 4 digit local extensions, and the other that specifys 5 digit extensions.
load the appropriate file to the correct extension.
I have phones all over Europe using the call log feature perfectly, you have to tweak it a bit but it works fine.

98Converter's idea is better, I had forgotten the groups feature.
Nice one '98.

If we have a 4 digit phone users with 4 digit and with 5 digit can dial that number. Using different files does not solve this issue

OK, I see your problem now.
Why not try the ars digit conversion table?
then it won't matter if the call log sticks the Ars fac IN.
