missing words

I have windows xp sp2. The problem i am having is certain text boxes do not show any words. For instance, If I goto Internet Explorer and goto Help menu and about..there is no words in there. If I goto Windows update, the page is blank. Also in America online,text seems to be missing from some text boxes there also.I did a scan for spyware and viruses and found and removed all. I really do not want to have to reload windows.Is there any utility I can use to scan my system for corrupt files? I have also tried system restore, but there,again,the program never appears on my screen!

Reboot and test.

Have you tried running System Restore from Safe Mode, it sometimes works from there when it fails in Normal Mode?

The new window that you open in Internet Explorer displays a blank white page

The above is fixed via the IEfix program.
