Missing HKEY file. 1

Here it is; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Value:"ConfigDir"not found in directory.
I get this when windows boots and some things work and others don't where again I get this Corel window. Seems to be in the way of installing anything also. Looking for advice on the best way to address this problem. Havn't uninstalled Corel 12 yet and not sure it would help. What say the experts?

Are there any clues coming from the above links?

I didn't have time to check further, but perhaps cleaning out your Temp files or uninstalling and re-installing Corel may help.

If they don't help please post the exact message with included spaces, text, and spelling etc.

linney, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I have yet to find the right answer but have set up a Google Alert for the correct key which is the following: Key:"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\" Value: "ConfigDir" not found in the Registry.
I tried to uninstall Corel Draw 12 but got the following Add or Remove error window; This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.
Not precisely shure what this means but am still searching the info you provided and waiting on Google. If you have anything else to add I'd appreciate it. My thanks to you again in any case.

See if you can adapt this to Corel, you may have to check the registry for the key referring to Corel.

Does the Add or Remove option give you a Repair option? Does Corel have any Repair option accessible from the program? Can you just run the install of Corel without uninstalling it first? Otherwise you may be looking at a messy manual removal of files, folders, and registry entries.

Frustration won out and I went after removing Corel 8, Corel 12, and a seperate Corel Lesson Plan. Messy is an understatement. Over a thousand lines later I thought I'd done a pretty good job. This morning I tried to reload Corel Suite 12 and got blocked by the following; The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package'CGS12SP1EN.msp'in the box below.
My system is not on a network. I thought 'CGS12SP1EN.msp' was an upgrade after installation but it seems I'm in error.Am proceding to find that package and install it, if possable, prior to reinstalling Corel Suite 12 only.

AS suspected, I told I can't run SP1 without a program for it to relate to.?? Now I'm at a loss for what to do next. Any ideas appreciated.
