Feb 25, 2004 #1 busawind IS-IT--Management Jan 14, 2004 2 GB Windows 98 machine. On startup, a message appears informing of a missing ff.exe file. This doesn't cause any problems in itself but is damn annoying. Does anyone know what this file is for and how to stop windows asking for it? Andy W

Go to Start > Run > type in msconfig and go to the startup tab. Uncheck any instance of this file.
