Mirrored disks

Hi can anyone help me with this i had a mirrored disk 35gb and i broke the mirror because i needed it for a while. I then formatted it and put used another os on it. When i put it back in the 2k server it wont let me delete the old volume which is fair enough as it can't see it anymore but i can't mirror the new volume.I have made the new volume a dynmaic disk but when i go to create the new volume the mirrored part is greyed out.So to summarise i need to know
1/ How do i mirror the new drive.

2/ How can i delete the old drive the is no longer present.
