I have no idea how to locate and diagnose a MIRAN card.
I have a card that was locking up and needed to be reset regularly. The card provides overflow announcements.
The tech that did this left and I never learned the routine.
I need a walkthrough of the go here, do this, "don't type ELL DEE type ld" type.
All help appreciated.

your miran is built as channels that look like analog trunks. all the trunk commands will work, ld 32 and ld 36.
don't type ELL DEE type

what is that?

These comments apply to MIRAN III card but others are similar. # is NTVQ01AB. Label on top says MC-8. Yours likely will be in an IPE shelf. The III is easy to spot because on the PCMCIA slot on the face of the card. You may have auto timeset enabled and if the card can't find your switch on the network I think that will cause the interface to lock up.
NTP 553-3001-112 contains more than you'll ever want to know.

I have a type 2.

john poole Don't type Ell Dee, type ld, was a poor attempt at humour.

When I am asking for help I do not want to pretend that I know everything except one small bit.
After going to this forum I know how much I don't know.
Thanks to everyone.
