Miran 3

John have question on MIran 3. Have you ever run into static on annoucements on these cards? I'm going to reseat and reset cards next week on a maintance window. After i'm upgrading firmware to 30m08 on cards. I can also administor the cards through a GUI interface. Also getting static on Cards when accessing admin via telephone. Thanks

static on the card my be fixed by reseating, chances are you need a new card.. and yes you can use the miran for a announcement service... just build a route with at least one member, setting post to dis.. either dial the acod or point a cdn, or acd to the acod.. lsc to the route will work.. either way dial the number, here the recording, system hangs up

Be careful of the Miran 3's there was a product bulletin out about them that some of them aren't even being shipped out by Nortel anymore because of problems. i think it is the release 4's but not sure.

release 4, did have a problem but they have a patch for it. some of the 1st rls 4 had a problem that tied up inbound ports, and never rls'ed the call...

Do you know the patch number? I am having an issue with my MIRAN card where the caller just hears a distinct buzz when they should hear a recording. I have to disable the card and re-enable the ports one-by-one to get it going again. I have replaced the card twice, but still the same problem. After resetting, the problem always comes back after 1-2 days.

Any ideas?

I have the same probem, i cant get rid of the static? 2 new cards also, but i still have the static after disbling and re-enabling the card and ports? Teekow did you get any answers?

Programme Port TN'0' Member 1/Port 0 on MIRAN...Reset MIRAN
Enable Card and Unit TN'0'...Then Initialise the switch during out of hours though !!

why would an ini cause static to go away? sent nortel am email, they claim they haven't had a static problem on miran cards, i've seen about hald a dozen on line with those symptoms. the 2 i just added are clear.
